Our Portfolio Management System is our most recent development allowing our clients to access their portfolios online.
Prytaneion (our proprietary workflow engine) enables us to actively follow your requests electronically. Amongst the multitude of IT systems we have implemented are Agora; a Customer Relationship Management database and two email archivers allowing us to instantly consult over a decade of messages.

Maurice is the group CEO.
He joined the group shortly after its inception in 1985. Prior to that Maurice had his own accounting practice in Neuchâtel which was merged into the Kestrel group in 1989 and before that had been employed as office manager by local law firm.
A Swiss Chartered Accountant since 1982, Maurice is also a member of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP).
During his 30 years at Kestrel Maurice has travelled extensively in Africa. He is a keen hiker, walker and skier, spending most of his weekends in the Swiss Alps.
Maurice speaks French, English and some Swiss-German.
Kestrel has always been and remains independently owned and managed. This allows us to put our clients’ interests first, without conflicts.
We were established in Neuchâtel, Switzerland in 1985 and grew from an investment management business founded in London by Walton Imrie, a South African portfolio manager.
Our current CEO, Maurice Emery, joined Kestrel in 1986 and oversaw the development of Kestrel into a boutique provider of Trust and Company Management services with a reputation for quality, efficiency and practical support.
His son, Jean-Maurice Emery, joined the business in 2000 and was in charge of the accounting department for several years before taking over responsibility as CFO of the group and the ongoing development of IT projects and systems which are central to our business and the expanded services we provide.
Our management team is multi-disciplinary and this range of Accounting, Legal and Financial skills enables us to provide solutions which take into account the varied needs of international families.
Many of the investors and entrepreneurs who were with Kestrel at the beginning of our journey remain close to us. As their businesses have evolved and families have grown, Kestrel has been a constant at their side, providing them with expert support to meet their and their families’ changing needs.
Kestrel is an active member of the Swiss Association of Trust Companies (SATC) and the Groupement Suisse des Conseils en Gestion Indépendants (GSCGI). We are regulated in Switzerland by the Supervisory Body for Financial Intermediaries & Trustees (SO-FIT, ex OAR-G) with subsidiaries regulated by the Financial Services Commission of the British Virgin Islands (BVI FSC).
